Drunk (On Jealousy) - Chapter 2

Ellen's POV

I stole some glances over Portia while I was talking with Andy. I saw her playing with her phone while waiting for the drinks.

I pulled out my phone, decided to text her

'Hey, hot lady. Whatcha doin' alone in a pub like this? ;)'

I sent it and chatted a bit more with Andy about some projects that we're going to come up with for the show. I checked my phone and saw that Portia hadn't replied.

That's weird. She's holding her phone.

I stole another glance at her and saw a girl on a denim jacket and leather pants was talking to Portia. Portia seemed uncomfortable. I noticed this because she tends to avoid eye contact whenever she's uncomfortable, or shy.

The girl jumped down from her seat and I swore that I saw she purposely spilled half of her drink on Portia's dress. You heard me right; pur-pose-ly.

The girl seemed panic (oh, good skill of acting but I'm not an idiot, honey). She grabbed something from the table and tried to dry Portia's dress with it.

"What the hell?" I blurted out and jumped up from the couch.

"Hey, what's up?" Andy asked but my focus wasn't on him anymore.

I walked straight to the bar and my hand formed a fist. Portia finally stepped back and said something to the girl before her eyes finally met mine.

I could tell that she's relief to see me, but also........... scared.

Before I could think of anything any further, I had already stood behind the strange girl's back. I cleared my throat loudly.

The girl jumped a bit and turned her body around. Even when I'm pissed, I'm still good at scaring people, aren't I?

"So, what's going on in here?" I looked at the girl while reaching out for Portia's hand. She took it right away and I pulled her behind me.

"Oh hi, Ellen!" the girl said with a fake cheerful voice. I wasn't sure whether it's fake or it was just me, tho.

"I'm Lima, Lima Dyer," she stuck out her hand and I took it. Fake, I decided.

"And I suppose you know me," I nodded and answered confidently.

"Of course I do, you're the superstar," she said with a mocking tone.
"You have a very beautiful wife there, by the way," she said again, looking at Portia.

"I luckily do. Thank you," I answered stiffly.

"Keep her close, don't leave her alone. I could've gotten her heart right away a minute ago," the Dyer girl said to me while flashing an also fake smile while grabbing her glass from the table.

"Excuse me?" I took a step closer to this................. bitch. I felt Portia squeezed my hand and tried to pull me back.

"Easy there, superstar. I'm just saying," she raised her hand that wasn't holding her glass in the air.

"You better go," I heard Portia's voice beside me. She looked at the red head girl sternly.

The girl laughed a little and shrugged.

"So rude, but very well," she stepped closer to Portia and before I knew it, she kissed Portia's cheek and whispered something to her that made Portia took a step back and pulled my hand, signaling that she wanted to go.

I was so very tempted to kiss this Dyer girl too......... with my fist. But, I've learned that such impulsive reaction wouldn't be a good move.

I also had this feeling that that was exactly what this little bitch wants, and I was so not going to give her that.

Portia's POV

"Ed..." I called Ellen who kept her death glare on Lima as she walked away.

"Baby, you okay?" she touched my cheek and I held her hand there.

"I.... I want to go home," I whispered and Ellen nodded.

We got out of the pub as quick as we could and headed straight to our car. Ellen opened the door for me and I got in. She ran back to get in and slammed the pedal as soon as we got out of the parking lot.

Lima Dyer.

That name kept repeating again and again in my head.
Who the hell is she? If she was a celebrity, I'm pretty sure I would've known, or at least heard of her name. But, no. She popped out from thin air and ruined my whole night.

"Portia, I'm sorry," Ellen snapped me out of my trance.

"Huh?"

"I'm sorry," she said it again.

I heard what she said, it's just that I don't hear her apologizing every day, you know.

"For what, baby?"

"For getting mad like that. You know I 100% trust you, right? But still, I really.... really want to....." Ellen moved her hand randomly in the air, running out of words. I found this cute, tho.

"Fill her mouth with all of my lotions collection until she's suffocated to death?" I finished it for her.

She glanced at me for a split second before returning her focus on the road. She smiled a bit and then laughed. Her laugh was always so contagious that I started to laugh too.

And we both ended up laughing together.

"Gosh, I didn't know I married a sadist serial killer!" Ellen finally managed to say. I hit her shoulder playfully.

"What's the fun if you had known?" I giggled and Ellen shook her head.

"Portia," she suddenly called out.

"Yeah?"

"What did she say to you?" Ellen asked calmly and I knew what she meant.

"Uhm... She said something like: I'm going to see you around sometime soon," I said.
"I haven't really thought about that. I mean, those are the things that people say when they want to leave you with uneasy feelings, right? And I refuse to be one of those people," I continued with confidence.

Nothing to worry about. I know full well that I'm safe and complete with my loving wife.

"You're right, woman..." Ellen slightly nodded and took my hand.

"But?" I raised my eyebrows. I knew that tone would always followed with a 'but'.

"But..... you're coming to work with me every single day. I'm not going to let you go out of my sight even for a second," she stated it firmly.

"Gosh, Ed...." I threw my head back.

"Hey, it'll be fun! We're going to have lots and lots of time together and you're going to know what happens in my fabulous show every single episodes. Plus, you'll get to enjoy the other advantage later," she laughed.

"And what would that be?"

"You won't have to shower alone," Ellen smirked and I burst into laughters. I really am married to the best woman ever.

"So, you'll go with me even to the bathroom?" I asked playfully.

"That's right, my love! How delightful would that be!" she cheered and boy does she look adorable.

"And you said you trust me," I faked a pout.

"Well, I do trust you with my life..." she smiled.

"It's that girl that I don't trust,".
